The air was crisp that morning
As the women made their way to the grave
Carrying spices to anoint His body
There were thinking of the past two days
As they approached the tomb
They saw the stone had been rolled away
Filled with fear and uncertainty
Not knowing whether to go or stay
Could it be, was He alive?
It seemed too good to be true
An angel appeared to remind them
Of what Jesus said He would do
Death would be defeated
He would arise on the third day
Sweet Rose of Sharon to bloom
With us He will always stay
