Year in Review

I've noticed something about myself.  When I'm at home on the weekend, I tend to blog less.  As a matter of fact, I usually only get online to check my Facebook.  It's as if my brain cannot formulate the smallest thought or sentence.  I'm almost at a loss for words sometimes.  And that's weird because during the week when I work full time (away from home) I tend to get more done.  More things are checked off my "To Do" list.

I'm not saying I NEVER blog or write on weekends or holidays...and most of you know how much I love to write!  But I just realized that I never even thought about making a New Year's resolution...not that I have success with them anyway!  And I never entertained the thought of a 'year end' post or goals for the new year.  I've been reading everybody else's and I haven't even thought much about mine?  That's not like me.

Maybe I get more distracted on weekends because everybody's at home and our schedules are not, well ... 'scheduled'.  And come to think of it, my husband is home on Saturdays now too, so that leaves me less "me time".  And that's ok.

I think I'm finally realizing that I've gotten much better about relaxing and enjoying my family while I'm at home.  I think I've run myself ragged over the years trying to get everything done.  But you know what?  Getting everything checked off my little list is not what's most important.  It's having some down-time to spend in God's Word.  It's spending time with my family and taking a Sunday afternoon nap :)

But because I am an organized person and I love the ability of blogging to remind us of things past, I'm choosing to do a post about the year of 2010 and some of the biggest events that stick out in my mind (and I'm doing this post in the middle of the day on a Tuesday, not the weekend).  Overall, it was a pretty good year!
