Still Celebrating!

I hope each of you had a great Christmas Day with family and friends.  We're still celebrating around here! We're having Christmas with my husband's immediate family today at lunch.  My baby sister and her family will be here late this afternoon, so everyone will be at our house tomorrow night for a non-traditional Christmas supper...a fish fry!  Can't wait!

Until then, thought I just wanted to drop in and say "hello" and that I hope your holidays are filled with precious moments with those you love.  I'll check back in a few days (and you will hopefully get to see a surprise on here.....my new blog design!  Merry Christmas to me!)

Mama believes in making things pretty for the holidays.  When it comes to simple and beautiful table arrangements, you won't find any any prettier!  They're all over the house!

She has a beautiful display on the mantel in her bedroom.

Well, I better get up and get ready to head out again!  I'll have more pics to share with you after the weekend is over.....many more....lol!  Merry Christmas again.....and may all your days this holiday season be merry and bright!

Below is something I wrote on the Whispers from Wildwood Facebook Page.  Thought I'd share it on the blog too.  (By the way, if you haven't Liked my Facebook page, there's a link on the blog home page).

I'm the first one up on this Christmas Eve day. I'm enjoying a cup of coffee in the quiet (well, I hear Lucy snoring!) and looking at the beautiful lights of the Christmas tree.

I decided long ago that I love Christmas Eve more than Christmas Day. I think it has something to do with the anticipation of Christmas as well as the quiet of the house when the whole world seems to be sleeping to the sounds of Silent Night.

In the stillness, I'm reminded of why we really celebrate....the birth of a baby, born to save the world. Presents are fun to give and receive, but the greatest gift of all was in God sending His one and only son to save us. May we be reminded of that sacrifice tomorrow as we enjoy special time with family and friends.

Also, if you know those who aren't having the merriest of Christmases this year due to illness, death, or many other things, please remember to say a prayer for them. Because Jesus came, we can all have hope for a better tomorrow.

Merry Christmas and God Bless Us Everyone!
