You remember my previous post, Quick text from God? Well, I should've known that the remainder of the week would be filled with alot of stress and craziness! After a spiritual high, Satan is right there...ready and waiting to attack again! And he worked overtime this week!
On top of everything else, I had one of my worst migraines EVER on Tuesday....so bad that even a shot from the doctor on top of prescription meds wouldn't completely get rid of it!
But as always, God prepared a way for me. When a situation occurred where I wanted to step in and take care of something myself, He made certain there were 2 individuals to remind me that He was in complete control of the situation and I didn't need to act to defend myself. Do you know how hard that is for me?
I'm a very pro-active person and I don't like misunderstandings and I REALLY hate injustice! But sometimes when Satan is involved, it's best just to Be Still And Know That He Is God! Can I get an amen? Woo Hoo!!!
Well, after this very hurtful incident this week, I got a follow-up email message from my Heavenly Father this morning. Here it is:
Don't repay evil for evil. Don't retaliate when people say unkind things about you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God wants you to do, and he will bless you for it. 1 Peter 3:9 nlt
The Pareto Principle holds that 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes--and it has many applications. For example, 20% of the people in the world hold 80% of the world's wealth. In your workplace, it's also probably true that 80% of the work gets done by 20% of the workers. The rest of the workforce, as you have doubtless observed, spend a good deal of time trying to throw colleagues under the proverbial bus ..."repaying evil for evil." Don't be part of that group. Your role is to be a blessing--and that is the role that will bring God's blessings to you in return.
Become part of the 20% today. Do what it takes to be an indispensable and productive worker.
Well........there you have it! Hope you have a great weekend :)
Stay in the Word and keep your eyes on Christ :)
